TOSHIJI FUKUDA

Born in 1948.

I have been taking pictures of wildlife in the Far East of Russian since 1990 and every year I spend 70-150 days in this remort region photographing the rare and threatened animals. In particular, the highly endagered Amur Tiger and the Amur Leopard.

I have been working with the Russian Academy of Sciences since 1991 and I am an honorary member f the Academy's Far East branch and thei Institute of Marine Biology. I am also a member of the Japan Professional Photographers Society, and in 2013 hI had a major solo exhibition at the Russian Academy of Sciences Zoological Institute in St.Petersburg.


I was also the winner of the 2013 Wildlife Photographer of the Year Gerald Durrell award for endagered species.
